The Brief:

Pitchup are bringing outdoor holidays to everyone. The industry was crying out for a leader – one that could make sense of the hundreds of websites and booking processes; that leader has landed.

From campsites and tipis to motorhomes and lodges, Pitchup is the first online brand in the sector to provide the whole caboodle. Whatever tickles your fancy, can sort it.

We needed to create a campaign that both formed a solid foundation for their first major ATL brand activity and act like a market leader, while driving web traffic and bookings for summer 2016.

The Solution:

Let’s take people’s real and wonderful bookings and show them to the world in all their glory. Both showcasing the multitude of possible escapes, and challenging people to make their own great escapes.

Press, radio and Facebook activity was targeted both regionally and timed according to the weather, capitalising on those lustful, last minute moments gazing at the sunshine out of the office window.


The results:

Still early days yet, but this just in –

  • Bookings surge to 10 per minute
  • Total holidaymakers reach the 1 million mark at 1.1. million since launch in 2010
  • Daily page views hit a new record of 500,000, up 20% on its previous record set in 2015
  • Westcountry becomes the most popular destination with 39% of recent bookings
