Context

The online holiday booking process is a long, laborious struggle. According to research, we spend a long 24 days online each year searching for our dream holiday. With this in mind and given Travel Republic’s Lowest Price Guarantee, our new campaign champions Travel Republic as ‘The Last Click’ when booking your holiday.

Idea

Highlight the amusing frustrations of the holiday booking process and present Travel Republic’s lowest price guarantee as the antidote to people’s struggles.

Print ads and digital banners featured Tobatron’s (Toby Leigh)’s instruction manual aesthetic to stand apart from the competition’s airbrushed photos of impossibly blue seas, happy couples and sandy beaches.

We recruited veteran voice actor Martin Jarvis for our radio spots. These followed the same themes as our print ads, while also including the plight of the ‘Tired Clicky Finger’ and thanking other holiday companies for providing Travel Republic’s customers with the inspiration to find their perfect holiday. Cheeky? Indeed.
