Antidote welcomed clients, friends, and prominent figures from the worlds of cycling and film to the UK premiere of TIME TRIAL, the new documentary film charting the incredible story of former professional cyclist David Millar – the first British rider to wear the leader’s jersey in all three grand tours – France, Italy and Spain.

Held at the screening room of London’s Soho House, the premiere of TIME TRIAL featured an exclusive showing of the film, followed by a question and answer session with David Millar and the film’s director, Finlay Pretsell, hosted by Tim Ashton, the Founder and Creative Director of Antidote.

This powerful documentary has been 10 years in the making. Finlay Pretsell started filming David Miller without knowing how his story would eventually unfold – with the result that a lot of raw emotion is captured on screen, including the veteran cyclist’s reaction to the crushing discovery that he would no longer be able to compete at the highest level.

In many ways, the evening was a fitting reflection of the long cycling journey for Tim and for Antidote, both through their relationship with David Millar and also work for clients including Rapha, Evans Cycles and Team Sky.

Tim Ashton says: “This film was at the cross-hairs of everything Antidote loves. Brilliant production values, beautiful storytelling of a sport rich in history and tradition.

“Finlay’s brilliantly original direction and meticulous film craft have delivered, I believe, a future classic.”

Few who attended the screening would argue, and the resulting Q&A session delivered some fascinating insights into both the mind of David Millar and the craft that went into making TIME TRIAL.
